Learning to drive in Dinuba: rebuilt corridors and new bike routes
Dinuba has been rebuilding several streets at once. The 2025 Corridor Improvements Project (opens in a new tab) began on March 16, 2026, with work on College Avenue, Kamm Avenue and El Monte Way. The stretch of College Avenue from Uruapan Way to Kamm Avenue was fully closed for up to 13 weeks. It was expected to reopen on June 12, 2026. Crews rebuilt the road and replaced sewer and water lines underneath. After a rebuild, lanes and turn pockets may differ from before, so read the new markings carefully.
More changes are planned for walkers and bike riders. A city Active Transportation Program project (opens in a new tab) proposes work on six road segments totaling 7.5 miles. The list includes Alta Avenue, East El Monte Way, Crawford Avenue and Euclid Avenue. Plans call for bike lanes, flashing beacons, green pavement, bump-outs and shortened crossings. As these appear, slow near crosswalks, and move fully into the next lane to pass a cyclist when it is safe.
